What it means
Parking is not allowed here during the days and hours shown on the sign. At other times you may park.
White with black or red; a red circle with a slash means prohibited, a green circle means permitted.

How to recognise it
A white upright rectangle with a red circle and slash over a P, and the hours and days of the ban printed underneath.
Where you will see it
On commuter routes and shopping streets where the curb lane is needed for traffic at certain hours.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Read the hours and the days. During them, do not park here.
- 2.At other times you may park, as long as no other rule forbids it.
- 3.If you park just before the ban starts, move the vehicle in time or risk a fine or a tow.
On the knowledge test
Red circle and slash: parking is forbidden during the times shown. Learners swap it with the green time-limited parking sign, which allows parking during its hours.
