What it means
Traffic on the cross street travels in one direction only, the way the arrow points. Turn only in that direction.
White with black or red; a red circle with a slash means prohibited, a green circle means permitted.

How to recognise it
A black horizontal rectangle with a long white arrow pointing left or right.
Where you will see it
At intersections, facing drivers who are about to turn onto a one-way street.
What to do when you see it
- 1.On the cross street, traffic moves only the way the arrow points: turn only in that direction.
- 2.Turning left from a two-way street onto a one-way street, go from the centre lane into the left lane.
- 3.At a steady red light you may turn left onto a one-way street after a full stop, if it is clear and no sign forbids it.
