Travel information ahead
What it means
A travel or visitor information stop is ahead.
Green, blue and brown signs give directions, distances and services.
Summarised from ICBC’s Learn to Drive Smart. Read the original: Signs signals and road markings ↗
How to recognise it
A brown sign with a white mountain-and-sun picture above the words VISITOR INFO.
Where you will see it
On highways and at town entrances, before the turn for a visitor centre.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Plan to stop if you need maps, road conditions or local advice.
- 2.Signal and slow down gradually before you turn in; drivers behind may not expect you to stop.
On the knowledge test
The answer is "travel information ahead". It is an information sign, so it tells you something is available rather than giving an order.
