Blasting ahead
What it means
Blasting is taking place ahead. Follow the instructions on the sign, such as turning off your radio transmitter.
Orange signs mark construction zones and other temporary conditions.

How to recognise it
A white upright rectangle with BLASTING ZONE in red letters and SHUT OFF YOUR RADIO TRANSMITTER in black.
Where you will see it
Before road work where explosives are being used, such as rock cuts on highways.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Follow the instructions on the sign, such as turning off your radio transmitter.
- 2.Keep the transmitter off until you have passed the end of the zone, and obey any traffic-control person.
