Hidden side road ahead
What it means
A side road joins from the side ahead and may be hard to see. Watch for vehicles turning in or out of it.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it
A yellow diamond with a thick black vertical line for your road and a shorter bar joining it from the side.
Where you will see it
Before a side road hidden by a hill, a curve, trees or buildings.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Slow down and cover your brake: a vehicle may pull out of a road you cannot see yet.
- 2.Watch for vehicles slowing ahead of you to turn into the side road.
