What it means
The road curves ahead in the direction shown. Slow down before you reach it.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it
A yellow diamond with a single black arrow that bends gently in the direction of the curve.
Where you will see it
Rural roads and highways before a bend you cannot see around.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Slow down before the curve, not in it; the faster you go, the harder your vehicle pulls to go straight.
- 2.Stay in your lane all the way round, and do not pass or make a U-turn on the curve.
On the knowledge test
The answer is "curve ahead: slow down". A gently bent arrow means a curve; a right-angle arrow means a sharp one, usually with an advisory speed.
