Lane use: both lanes turn left
What it means
Vehicles in both of these lanes must turn left. Stay in your own lane through the turn.
White with black or red; a red circle with a slash means prohibited, a green circle means permitted.

How to recognise it
A black sign with two white arrows curving to the left, side by side, one for each lane.
Where you will see it
Over a pair of left-turn lanes before a busy intersection.
What to do when you see it
- 1.In either of these lanes you must turn left.
- 2.Stay in your own lane through the turn and finish in the matching lane, with the vehicle beside you doing the same.
On the knowledge test
Both lanes turn: the outer lane is not a through lane. The danger is drifting into the next lane during the turn.
