How to recognise it
A white square with a red circle and slash over a black bicycle.
Where you will see it
At freeway entrances and on other roads, tunnels or bridges where cycling is not allowed.
What to do when you see it
- 1.If you are cycling, do not ride beyond this point; find another route.
- 2.As a driver, remember that where no such sign is posted, cycling is permitted even on some freeways: keep watching for cyclists.
On the knowledge test
The red circle and slash mean the action shown is not permitted. Do not confuse it with the yellow warning that cyclists may be on the roadway.
