Object marker — keep left
What it means
An obstruction is ahead; pass it on the left.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it
A tall, narrow yellow panel with parallel black diagonal stripes, the mirror image of the keep-right marker.
Where you will see it
On obstructions at the side of the road that traffic must pass on the left.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Keep left: pass the obstruction on its left side.
- 2.Slow down and check that the lane on that side is clear before you move into it.
On the knowledge test
A question usually shows it beside the keep-right marker and asks which side to pass on. Learn the guide's label for each picture: this one is "keep left".
