Object marker — keep right
What it means
An obstruction is ahead; pass it on the right. Pay special attention to these markers.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it
A tall, narrow yellow panel with parallel black diagonal stripes all slanting the same way.
Where you will see it
On medians, traffic islands and bridge supports that traffic must pass on the right.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Keep right: pass the obstruction on its right side.
- 2.Slow down and give the object plenty of room, especially at night or in poor visibility.
On the knowledge test
The right and left markers are mirror images, and the test shows them side by side. Learn which picture the guide labels "keep right" rather than guessing from the stripes.
