What it means
When the gate is down, a train is approaching. Stop and stay stopped until the gate is fully raised — and watch for a second train on another track.

What to do when you see it
- 1.When the gate is down or coming down, stop: a train is approaching.
- 2.Stay stopped until the gate is fully raised; never drive around it.
- 3.After one train passes, check for a second one on another track before you move.
On the knowledge test
The tested words are "until the gate is fully raised". Moving as soon as the train has gone, or as the gate starts to lift, is the trap; a hidden second train causes many crashes.
