Crew working — obey posted speed
What it means
A crew is working on the road ahead. Obey the construction-zone speed limit shown: it applies whenever it is posted, and traffic fines are doubled in construction zones.
Orange signs mark construction zones and other temporary conditions.

How to recognise it
A white upright rectangle with an orange panel at the top showing a worker, and MAXIMUM, a speed and km/h below it.
Where you will see it
At the start of a work zone where a crew is working on or beside the road.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Slow to the speed on the sign before you reach the workers.
- 2.Obey that limit whenever it is posted, day or night, even if no workers are in sight.
- 3.Leave space between you and the crew and their equipment.
