Roundabout ahead
What it means
A roundabout is ahead. Slow down, and be ready to yield to traffic already circulating in it.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it
A yellow diamond with black arrows chasing each other around a circle, counter-clockwise.
Where you will see it
On each approach to a roundabout, far enough back to slow down and choose a lane.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Slow down, decide where you are going and get into the correct lane before you enter.
- 2.Yield to pedestrians at the crosswalk before the roundabout, then to traffic already in it.
- 3.Go around counter-clockwise, do not change lanes inside, and do not ride alongside trucks or buses.
On the knowledge test
Questions ask who yields: you yield to traffic already in the roundabout. For lanes, the left lane is for turning left, the right lane for turning right, and either may go straight.
