How to recognise it
The fluorescent yellow-green school zone sign with a white tab showing 50 km/h and the words "when children on highway".
Where you will see it
Faster roads and highways that pass a school, where a lower limit is needed only when children are near the road.
What to do when you see it
- 1.On school days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., slow to 50 km/h if children are on the roadway or the shoulder.
- 2.Scan the shoulders well ahead so you see children in time to slow down.
On the knowledge test
Every condition must hold at once: a school day, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and children on the roadway or shoulder. Answers that drop any of them are wrong.
