Two-way traffic ahead
What it means
Ahead, traffic travels in both directions on the same road. Keep to the right.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it
A yellow diamond with a black arrow pointing down on the left and one pointing up on the right, split by a broken line.
Where you will see it
Where a one-way road or a divided section becomes a road with traffic in both directions.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Keep to the right: vehicles will soon be coming towards you in the next lane.
- 2.Pass only where the markings allow it and you can see far enough ahead.
On the knowledge test
Opposing arrows on a yellow diamond warn of traffic in both directions ahead; the same idea on a white rectangle is a regulatory sign telling you to keep right unless passing.
