What it means
The house-shaped fluorescent yellow-green sign marks a school zone. Reduce your speed when children are present and watch for them; a tab under the sign may set a lower speed limit.

How to recognise it
A fluorescent yellow-green, house-shaped (five-sided) sign with two black children carrying school bags.
Where you will see it
On the approach to a school, facing traffic on each side of the street. The back of the sign on the other side tells you the zone has ended.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Reduce your speed when children are present, and scan both sides of the road for them.
- 2.Read the tab under the sign: it may set a lower speed limit and the times it applies.
- 3.Look well ahead for school patrols or crossing supervisors, and obey them.

Colour is the clue: fluorescent yellow-green means school. The test also asks where the zone ends: at the back of the school zone sign facing the other way.
